We had initially planned on hearing Guro Sandvik from Finn-Arne Weltzien's group (NMBU), however due to sickness we instead had an informal discussion about the format of our ZIG meetings. Here is a summary of what was agreed upon:

ZIG seminars will happen approximately every third month (on the second Friday of the month at 10am). One research group will be responsible for each session - this means booking a room, finding a speaker (or several) within the group, and sending an email to the ZIG mailing list with the programme. We agreed that the content of the presentation can be flexible - you can present your research, an exciting method you are developing/want to develop, or a relevant article you think the ZIG members will find interesting. Each group is responsible for switching with another group if the date allocated is not suitable. The programme for 2016 is the following: 8th April: Hanne Winther-Larsen's group 9th September: Camila Esguerra's group 9th December: Finn-Arne Weltzien's group We also discussed the possibility of applying for funding for a common zebrafish facility, especially relevant for the time when NMBU will move to Aass. It was agreed that the PIs will communicate further on this, and talk with their relevant faculties and deans, so as to bring the matter to a higher level. The plan is to contact the Research Council at a later date to apply for funding.
